Nothing like that you filthy animals, but now that I’ve got your attention I think you’ll be interested in this little story.
It’s as if there was a secret I knew that was yet to be revealed but I couldn’t quite put my finger on it. Until that is, I came across the book Mary Magdalene Revealed by Meggan Watterson on a recent escapade. It looked unassuming on the outside, but the contents were something quite incendiary and revelatory - quite literally. The book did what it said on the tin.
As I began reading on boxing day in bed I entered into a different world. One I stayed immersed in for the best part of 4 days as I let the revelations and hidden truths seep into my bones.
It turns out that everything that we’ve been taught about Mary Magdalene was wrong. Or more directly put - manipulated, destroyed and banished from history by the Church.
Learning the truth
Did you know Mary wrote her own gospel? Which was ordered to be destroyed (along with other texts referencing female teachings) in the 5th century. It turns out for the first few hundred years post the death of Jesus (if you’re a believer) there were a multitude of ‘Christianities’ abound. It seems like that was all a bit too much for those in power at the time, and it was decided that the Bible should be codified, simplified and (to all intents and purposes) to have women written out.
As I soaked in this information my whole body knew it was the truth. That women have equal rights and access to divinity (Jesus was as I believe as human as he was divine) and that we had been relegated to chattel and prostitutes by some ill meaning and ignorant men hungry for power and control (yes this is true as the council that codified the bible at the time were all men - all 500 of them).
Part of me wanted to wage war and scream from the top of a mountain about the injustice of all of it. I felt the mighty weight of oppression that had rested on the shoulders of my ancestral sisters for millennia and the complete desecration and systematic stealing of power they had suffered. I felt a sacred rage rise within me, and equally a rising and return of my own power at knowing the truth. Finally.
At the same time as feeling intensely angry I felt a huge wave of relief because as it turns out, the truth will set you free. The same applies to our emotions, we can avoid, stuff and bottle them up and end up with disease, or we can face them head on and allow them to flow and return to a state of peace.
The next stage of our evolution
Why am I sharing this? Why is this important you might ask?
Whether you identify as a Christian or not it doesn’t matter. With our world history, you simply cannot escape the past. You can try to run from it, disown it, say it doesn’t apply to you, but guess what, it will always catch up with you somewhere down the track. We didn’t create the original problem, but I believe with this knowledge we have a responsibility to do something about it.
Why? Because the divine feminine - the wisdom of Mary and her gospel - has been hidden from us all this time - and I believe it’s teachings are what is going to help us transition to the next stage of our evolution.
I’m not here man bashing. I love men. History is what it is, but this situation has gone on far too long. What this discovery brings to me is the remembrance that we are all equal - and that in order for health and harmony to exist - we must learn to work together and balance our polarities. This means women and men leading in partnership, with mutual respect and equal balance.
Finding the balance
It’s evident to see how the imbalanced masculine influence pervades - conquer, destroy, growth at all costs. This is not sustainable and we know it. The feminine is the loving, harmonising force. Yet, ignore it at your peril - as can be seen in mother nature when she has been pushed too far. It will destroy all in its wake in an instant to restore homeostasis. It is present in the cycles of birth and death, where having one without the other is simply not possible. It’s presence is a wellspring of boundless unconditional love and nourishment.
Men and women have both masculine and feminine energies, and these must be harmonised internally and externally. Healing our wounds with the opposite sex is vital, otherwise we will continue to project our unhealed trauma outwards and the cycle of pain, suffering and destruction will continue to loop without end.
The way out is IN - specifically through the heart. Seeing with the eyes of the heart as Mary said over 2000 years ago - is the way to peace.
Take a moment and close your eyes.
Take a deep breath and drop your awareness into your body.
Take a second deep breath and bring your mind into your heart.
Notice what you feel here.
This is the place we are invited to return to - learning to see each other through the eyes of love. This is how we create heaven on earth.
The path of healing
I’m blessed to have in my life many powerful, incredible men, who hold full respect and reverence for the feminine. I believe this is a direct result of the work I’ve been doing to heal my own relationship to the masculine over the last few years. It is honestly my greatest pleasure to work with and hold space with my brothers. This is where the real deep healing work happens - male and female working together in harmony and devotion. In this space miracles abound. If this idea sounds deeply appealing to you, I invite you to explore it for yourself.
Furthermore, I highly recommend this book if you’re ready to rediscover some secrets that you know you never forgot - whether you're a man or woman.
Are you ready?

P.S. I have a few ideas about how we can begin to work with this, so keep a watch out
P.P.S A big thank you to some of the amazing men in my life, that are out in the world doing amazing things
Freedom. We all say we want it. Days lazing on the beach, living a laptop lifestyle, having life on our terms. What ever it means for you. But do you really?
I’ve noticed this funny thing with humans (myself included) - we often say we want something and do the exact opposite. We say we want to get in shape, yet fail to do the workout. We would love to change careers, but we don’t expand our education or apply of the new job. We say we want love, but avoid facing the wounds and shadows that keep it at bay. Let’s be honest, we’re a strange bunch.
And so this is an invitation to stop and reflect - where are you saying you want something - but doing the opposite? Where are you sabotaging yourself?
What do you value?
Freedom for example - one of my highest values - comes with a cost. Total freedom = total responsibility. 100% responsibility for your life. Now we run scared. We are accustomed to learned helplessness. You only have to look at the current failed medical model to realise that. If we chose real freedom, and took the according self responsibility - the world would be a much better place.
With great power comes great responsibility. We have the power to change our lives in every moment. To make different decisions, change our habits, adapt our behaviours - to create the outcomes we desire.
Yet, if it was easy then everyone would be doing it. If you want freedom, you also have to choose responsibility. There is no compromise. It means growing up from this childish blame culture in which we fester. It is breaking our human family apart. It’s ruining our lives. It’s stealing our joy and connection. Freedom is a choice, one for the brave of heart. Start small and build up. Rome wasn’t built in a day, hence making a new habit or choice might not come easy at first. However with consistency you will steer your ship in the direction you want to sail.
What's stopping you?
Many of our self sabotaging patterns are running from our fear mind - attempting to keep us safe. We must take a step back and tune into the monkey mind that is directing our lives and identify the thoughts that don’t serve. Only then can we replace them with a different programme. Most of our habitual thoughts and behaviours come from beliefs that were installed long ago during our childhood. They got absorbed by osmosis in our family of origin and those who were a major influence in our lives. What that means is we are riddled with bad code, the stuff that sends our system haywire the moment we wish to do something that is different to the programme. We end up short circuiting and reverting back to the same old situation. It’s not your fault, but there is something you can do about it.
Moving forward into the life you want.
The Spiral is a process which clears out the old programming of your subconscious mind and provides the opportunity to reprogram your system - so that it is fully functional and serves you! When you clear your old emotional patterns through this process, working with 22 core emotions, your hardware gets upgraded automatically. You now have the freedom to create new programmes (thoughts, beliefs, behaviours) that actually serve you and take you in the direction you desire - whether that's better relationships, business success, or overall satisfaction and fulfilment. By going though the Spiral you automatically raise your level of consciousness, moving beyond the small fear mind, and gain access to the bigger picture that is your life - one where you’re able to be objective and make decisions that are right for you, instead of being on autopilot from the dysfunctional programming you took on.
When we heal our emotional traumas and dramas we create space for something new. By letting go of the old, we gain freedom and autonomy. No longer running on autopilot, we are conscious of our decisions - we are steering the ship instead of being tossed around in a storm.
You have the tools available for change at your fingertips - the question is whether you’re going to use them.
Breathe the change you wish to see in the world.
Life is not intentionally painful but instead you create the suffering for yourself. This is my morning reflection as I ponder why my days can feel heavy and laden with obligation, rather than uplifting and joyful. I love what I do, and yet this still happens. The feeling that I should ‘do’ something brings resistance with it, and that resistance in turn creates pain and discontent.
As I write this a squirrel hops across the lawn, clearly enjoying himself! Happiness is a choice, peace is a choice. Our human minds are so caught in the miasma of trauma, tech overload and a culture that’s racing at a million miles an hour, we are unable to pause, take a breath, and see beneath it all that we have a choice.
Slowing down is an art. Paying attention to self is also an art. In a society where your attention is captured and commoditised, we no longer know how to attend to ourselves and deeply pay attention. If we did, we would make changes. We would make different choices.
Living in each moment
Enjoyment and pleasure is always available in every moment. It’s just that we choose something else instead, and most likely have a ‘set point’ or base line that is something different. Fear, scarcity, anger, contraction are examples. When living this experience, it’s hard to imagine something different exists. Yet it does. We are living in the stories in our mind, and they keep us trapped. We replay over and over again in our bodies and energetic fields, the past, and projections of the future that may never come to bear. When we are fully in the present moment all of that fades away. We sink into the pleasure and enjoyment of life that naturally exists. The joy of a blooming flower, the comfort of a warm breeze on your skin. Why should it just be on ‘holiday’ a few times a year that we really get to enjoy life? It shouldn’t, the world is completely backwards.
One of the main reasons we don’t have the experience we desire is because we are resisting being in life. Fully in. Fully feeling everything that is happening in our experience and our body. We have become body phobic, worried that if we feel we might die. This is our resistance to life, to living, and to experiencing our true desires. In order to feel good, we must go through whatever exists in between us and that state. Often that’s the resolution of our pain and trauma, that is stored in our bodies, our thoughts, our energy field. The only way out is through. If you’re not where you want to be, it’s because you’re not prepared to open and fully surrender to what is required - to release and submit to the greater force of life that moves through your body - which will ultimately bring you to wholeness and peace.
Breath is the number one tool that will help you cross the bridge EVERY SINGLE TIME. Your breath is a powerful prayer, one that can be directed to supporting you in releasing whatever no longer serves you, so you can connect deeply to yourself and to life.
Allow yourself to feel
If you run scared of the sensations and feelings in your body, you will become a slave to them. They will keep you stuck, small and suffering, probably in silence. Emotions are not meant to be stuffed down. The energy and sensations that are moving in your body are supposed to do just that - MOVE! When your mind creates a story about the situation, perhaps how it’s ‘bad’ or you’re ‘not allowed’ to express something such as anger for example - those energies turn inwards and create rigidity and blockages in your body. Life stops moving. You become stuck and stagnant. This causes pain and lack of enjoyment. Quite literally the juice is sucked out of life, everything is flat. We feel disconnected and dissatisfied, and nothing will fill that gap - not even our ‘go to’ addictions.
When we go farther along this route we become numb, empty and depressed. Nothing lights us up, there is no hope. Life is happening but it feels like there’s a pane of glass separating us from it. We can’t connect.
Breathwork offers an avenue to close this gap, to come back alive and connect once again with life. With purpose, joy, and excitement. The feelings you regularly experienced as a child before the outside world got its dirty hands on you.
Remember those days? What did you love to do? What lit you up? What would you spend hours doing and never get bored? These are some clues, some breadcrumbs to follow to uncover your path for coming back to life. It’s never too late. Every day is a new day, one to start over if you desire.
It all comes back to your willingness to be in the moment and to be IN life. This is not a dress rehearsal and you won’t get this unique moment back again.
Take a deep breath. Connect with your heart. What will you do to come alive today?
Breathe the change you wish to see in the world.
