Last night I laid in bed and cried. I cried at the absurdity of it all. At all the pain and suffering on the planet. At the destruction, the separation and loneliness. I wept at the pointlessness of it all. I let it move through me like a wailing storm.
The sadness I felt is because it doesn't need to be like this, if we decide to stop and wake up. Where are these 'solutions' taking us? What are we building? Society is so hyped up on technology we risk riding a wave that will dump us washed up and abandoned on the shore. It's almost too late.
Where are we going? What are we creating? Are we building connection, community and closeness? Or are we building walls and further separation from each other and our hearts?
Autopilot is a dangerous feature when the driver is asleep at the wheel. If we're not careful, humanity is going to crash and burn. Technology won't save us from ourselves. Only we can do that.
Breathe the change you wish to see in the world.
