It’s true we all have certain skills and talents. Some are naturally good at sports, others with a guitar.
But it’s a myth that you cannot develop a skill and become great, even world class at something. A few days ago I attended a golf day. The pro giving the lesson was telling a story about how he got introduced to the game. At the age of 31 he started playing. It wasn’t until the age of 40 that he turned professional and started teaching for a living.
If you have enough passion for something, you will develop a talent for it. However the key is to overcome the initial fear that stops you from starting something new. The feeling of embarrassment, frustration and disappointment from often being rubbish at something new prevents people from even trying in the first place. For me, and the world who would love to experience your passion expressed, this is a crying shame.
What would be the result if you really embraced that ‘new thing’ you’ve been yearning for? How would you feel to fully unleash?
As the saying goes ‘you don’t know until you try’.
Maybe she’s born with it, or maybe it’s make believe.
The good news is that you can make up what you like, and then choose to believe it. The results will inevitably follow.
What do you choose to believe today?
Breathe the change you wish to see in the world.
