Freedom. We all say we want it. Days lazing on the beach, living a laptop lifestyle, having life on our terms. What ever it means for you. But do you really?
I’ve noticed this funny thing with humans (myself included) - we often say we want something and do the exact opposite. We say we want to get in shape, yet fail to do the workout. We would love to change careers, but we don’t expand our education or apply of the new job. We say we want love, but avoid facing the wounds and shadows that keep it at bay. Let’s be honest, we’re a strange bunch.
And so this is an invitation to stop and reflect - where are you saying you want something - but doing the opposite? Where are you sabotaging yourself?
What do you value?
Freedom for example - one of my highest values - comes with a cost. Total freedom = total responsibility. 100% responsibility for your life. Now we run scared. We are accustomed to learned helplessness. You only have to look at the current failed medical model to realise that. If we chose real freedom, and took the according self responsibility - the world would be a much better place.
With great power comes great responsibility. We have the power to change our lives in every moment. To make different decisions, change our habits, adapt our behaviours - to create the outcomes we desire.
Yet, if it was easy then everyone would be doing it. If you want freedom, you also have to choose responsibility. There is no compromise. It means growing up from this childish blame culture in which we fester. It is breaking our human family apart. It’s ruining our lives. It’s stealing our joy and connection. Freedom is a choice, one for the brave of heart. Start small and build up. Rome wasn’t built in a day, hence making a new habit or choice might not come easy at first. However with consistency you will steer your ship in the direction you want to sail.
What's stopping you?
Many of our self sabotaging patterns are running from our fear mind - attempting to keep us safe. We must take a step back and tune into the monkey mind that is directing our lives and identify the thoughts that don’t serve. Only then can we replace them with a different programme. Most of our habitual thoughts and behaviours come from beliefs that were installed long ago during our childhood. They got absorbed by osmosis in our family of origin and those who were a major influence in our lives. What that means is we are riddled with bad code, the stuff that sends our system haywire the moment we wish to do something that is different to the programme. We end up short circuiting and reverting back to the same old situation. It’s not your fault, but there is something you can do about it.
Moving forward into the life you want.
The Spiral is a process which clears out the old programming of your subconscious mind and provides the opportunity to reprogram your system - so that it is fully functional and serves you! When you clear your old emotional patterns through this process, working with 22 core emotions, your hardware gets upgraded automatically. You now have the freedom to create new programmes (thoughts, beliefs, behaviours) that actually serve you and take you in the direction you desire - whether that's better relationships, business success, or overall satisfaction and fulfilment. By going though the Spiral you automatically raise your level of consciousness, moving beyond the small fear mind, and gain access to the bigger picture that is your life - one where you’re able to be objective and make decisions that are right for you, instead of being on autopilot from the dysfunctional programming you took on.
When we heal our emotional traumas and dramas we create space for something new. By letting go of the old, we gain freedom and autonomy. No longer running on autopilot, we are conscious of our decisions - we are steering the ship instead of being tossed around in a storm.
You have the tools available for change at your fingertips - the question is whether you’re going to use them.
Breathe the change you wish to see in the world.
